Oakland’s numerous urban wineries are located around the Jack London Square District. The wine quality is second to none since the wineries are located so close to California wine country. Grapes are sourced from all over the state. Head out on Oakland’s Urban Wine Trail, and stop along the way to shop, eat, and explore all that Oakland has to offer.
URBAN LEGEND CELLARS is located in Oakland’s Jack London District, across from the AMTRAK station.

Two Stations service the Jack London Area (12th St and Lake Merritt) From the Lake Merritt Station walk south on Oak St towards 3rd St.Turn left (West) at 3rd St. Walk two blocks to Jackson St and one block south to 2nd st. From the 12th St. Station walk south on Broadway towards 2nd St. Turn left on 2nd St and walk five blocks to Jackson St.
Alternatively take the Free B shuttle towards Jack London, exit at Webster St. Walk one block North to 2nd St. Turn right and walk 3 blocks to Jackson St. We are on the left.
OAKLAND FERRY TERMINAL
Walk North to Embarcadero. Turn right (East) on Embarcadero and walk to Webster St (about 6 blocks). Turn left at Webster St (cross Embarcadero), for one block to 2nd St. Turn right on 2nd St. and walk 2 blocks to Jackson St. We are on the left.
AUTOMOBILES (and partial bicycle directions)
From San Francisco, Berkeley, and 80 westbound: Merge onto 880 South, exit at the Alameda/Broadway ramp. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and continue on 5th Street to Broadway. At Broadway turn right and continue three blocks. Turn left onto 2nd Street; we’re on the left at the corner of Jackson St, almost 5 blocks from Broadway.
From 880 northbound: Exit at Oak St. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp on Oak St. Turn left at 2nd St, we are two blocks down on the right. Alternatively continue at the end of the ramp, but stay to the left to turn left at Jackson St. (yes it looks like you’ll get right back on 880)
From 24 westbound: Merge from Highway 24 on to Highway 980 toward Oakland. Exit on Jackson St just before the merge with 880. At the end of the ramp turn right on Jackson St., we are on the right at the corner of 2nd street (about 3 blocks).
